Tonye Stuurman has lived in China for the past eight years. She has a Diploma in Journalism and an Honours Degree in Women and Gender Studies. In her home country, South Africa, she worked for many years as a community activist and workshop facilitator, focusing on gender-based violence.
Tonye has been an integral part of the CCS Teen Advocacy Group and introduced this group to the CCS Clothesline Project. In addition, Tonye also offers community workshops and seminars.
