2023 Fall Semester at CCS Pudong center
This Fall semester renowned TCM practice Body and Soul will bring us more insight and guidance on three issues many are struggling with today: Insomnia, Pain Management, and Stress Management.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers several effective methods to manage these issues without relying on medication or undergoing invasive procedures.
Pain management is an area where TCM offers effective solutions. TCM considers pain as a result of blocked energy flow or a disorder in the body’s Qi. Acupuncture is again a popular treatment for pain management and has been found useful in relief from back pain, neck pain, and other chronic pain conditions. Acupuncture targets specific points on the body that are related to the affected area of pain. This stimulation helps release blocked energy and promotes natural self-healing.
Insomnia, also known as the inability, to fall asleep or stay asleep, can be a result of imbalanced energy flow in the body. According to TCM, the liver and spleen system is responsible for sleep, and any blockages or imbalances in these systems can lead to insomnia. Acupuncture is an effective treatment for insomnia that has been used for centuries. It involves inserting needles into specific points along energy meridians in the body to stimulate energy flow and restore balance. In addition to acupuncture, TCM practitioners may recommend herbal remedies and dietary changes to improve sleep quality.
Stress is a common problem in our busy lives today. TCM considers stress an imbalance in our energy flow between the mind and body. It promotes a holistic approach that involves mind-body techniques that help reduce stress and promote relaxation. Tai Chi, Qigong, and meditation are some popular techniques that promote relaxation, stress reduction, and improved mental health. These techniques focus on that a calm mind and relaxed body are essential in promoting energy balance.
