Cyanotype printing is a cameraless printing technique first used in the 1800s as a way of copying architectural plans (blueprints). After this two-session workshop, participants will leave with a unique, beautiful, framed A4 print, as well as all the other prints in various sizes unframed that they have made during the workshop.
Session One Includes:
•History of cyanotype printing
•Demonstration of the processes and steps
•Preparation of the coated paper and materials
•Creating designs and paintings on pre-coated paper
Session Two Includes:
•Create cyanotype prints using the coated paper in session one.
•Continue to make prints using the skills learned during session one
•Leave with your own cyanotype art piece.
About our Instructor
Ben used to be a working photographer and secondary school art teacher. Now he works part-time in a Shanghai international school. Ben is excited to share this particular art form among a broader community.
