Buns (baozi) are a famous and versatile food in China. They can be eaten as breakfast, lunch, snacks, or even dinner. There are many varieties of bun. Two of the very popular ones are pan-fried buns (shengjianbao) and steamed buns (zhengbaozi).
Pan-fried buns are usually stuffed with pork fillings, and, as the name implies, it is cooked with a pan-frying method. Steamed buns are usually more versatile and can have vegetable fillings or vegetable/meat fillings, and it is cooked with a steaming method.
